Yes.  Even though we currently do not have a mobile "App" for StockCharts.com, you can use most of the website's features using the web browser that is built into your mobile device.  The exceptions are our Java-based and Flash-based tools which Apple's mobile devices like the iPad do not support.  This includes ChartNotes, PerfCharts and MarketCarpets however our main charting tool, SharpCharts, works well on most mobile devices.

For iPad and iPhone users you can access our mobile version of StockCharts at http://m.stockcharts.com. It allows members to review their saved charts easily and also access the common areas of our website.  It is NOT an app - it is a website for iOS devices.

Keep in mind that the strength of tablet devices like the iPad is output - i.e., looking at existing content in a mobile context.  There are certain tasks that the finger-based devices like the iPad are not well suited for which is to say that there are certain tasks that a keyboard-mouse device can do more effectively.  In the case of our tools, adding annotations to a chart typically requires very precise pointer positioning and precise clicking - something that a mouse can do much better than a finger.  For that reason, we think that finger-based devices are poor tools for creating and updating chart annotations.

That said, we think finger-based devices like the iPad are excellent tools for reviewing previously annotated charts.  StockCharts allows this to happen very easily.  Subscribers who annotate charts using a computer and then save those annotated charts into their account can review those annotated charts later very easily via the Safari browser on their iPad.  Reviewing an annotated chart does NOT require any plugins or special software and works well from any mobile device.

So if your workflow is such that you can annotate charts at a point in the day when you are in front of a computer and then at some other time you need to see those annotated charts in a mobile context, mobile devices like the iPad can be great tools for you.
