How Do I Email a SharpChart to Someone?

The ability to quickly email a chart to someone else is very beneficial. Below are the steps to email a SharpChart to another person.

Please make sure to follow the correct set of instructions. The steps are slightly different depending on if you are a paid subscriber or a free user.

Access the Share Window (Paid Subscribers and Free Users)

To start the email process, click the “Share” link that appears below your SharpChart.

Note: You can share P&F charts too; just look for the “Share” link that appears below your P&F chart on the P&F Workbench, then follow the instructions below.

Once you click “Share,” the window above will display. Click the “Email” button.

Email the SharpChart (Paid Subscribers)

If you are a paid member, choosing “Email” in the “Share” window will open the above “Preview Email & Send” window.

Enter the email address for the person receiving your chart. Please add any comments you wish to send along with the chart in the Comments box.

Next, select whether you want to send the chart via HTML or Text. An HTML email will include a preview image of the chart. Text emails just contain a link to the chart.

Once you are ready, click the green “Preview & Send” button.

Note: If you click the “Use My Mail Program Instead” link, a draft of the email will open up inside your default email program. The body of the email will contain a link to the chart.

After you click the “Preview & Send” button, a preview of the email will be displayed for you to review. If everything is correct, click the green “Send” button at the bottom of the preview window to send your email.

Email the SharpChart (Free Users)

If you are a free user, choosing “Email” in the “Share” window will open the above “Preview Email & Send” window.

Enter the email address for the person receiving your chart. Please add any comments you wish to send along with the chart in the Comment box.

Once you are ready, click the green “Preview & Send” button.

A draft of the email will be opened up in your default email program. Review the draft and make any changes needed, then send the email from your email program.
