What to research the different stocks in a specific index or sector? The Index Members page gives you data of all stocks that make up an index or sector.

From the Charts & Tools page, under Summary Pages, click Index Members. You can also access the Index Members page via the Market Summary, Sector Summary, Industry Summary, SCTR Reports, Earnings Calendar, or Cryptocurrency Summary pages.

When you bring up the Index Members page, you’ll see a data wall displayed as a table (see below). Keep in mind you can scroll horizontally to see additional columns.

The following indexes and sectors are included in the Index Members page. S&P 100 S&P 500 S&P 400 S&P 600 Nasdaq 100 Dow Industrials Dow Transports Dow Utilities All 11 S&P 500 sectors: Communication Services, Consumer Discretionary, Consumer Staples, Energy, Financials, Health Care, Industrials, Materials, Real Estate, Technology, Utilities

You can also filter based on Period (Intraday, End-of-Day, One Week, One Month, Three Month, Six Month, YTD, One Year) and the number of entries you want to view on a page.

The menu on the left side of a symbol gives you access to other charting tools available in StockCharts. These include Symbol Summary, SharpChart, ACP Chart, GalleryView, Point & Figure, Seasonality, and Options.

Along the top of the page are links to Market Summary, Sector Summary, Industry Summary, SCTR Reports, Earnings Calendar, and Cryptocurrencies.

There are different ways investors and traders can use the Index Members page. Say you believe that small-cap stocks are ripe for an upside rally. You want to find the best-performing S&P 600 Small Cap Index stocks.

In the Index Members page, sort the % CHG column to display the highest performing stock in the S&P 600 (select from the left dropdown menu) at the top. Next, scroll horizontally across all the columns to look at several data points such as price, volume, relative strength index (RSI), average true range (ATR), dividend info, earnings date, etc.
